• Shahaji had not lost even one battle and was treated at par with the Nizamshah and Adilshah. His aim was to set up an independent Maratha kingdom.
• Shahaji had patronized several scholars. He died in a hunting accident. He was traveling as a mediator between Bijapur and Shivaji, where he had his last meet with his son. His son continued his legacy and ruled over the Maratha kingdom.
