With what velocity should a body be thrown vertically upward so that it reaches a height of 25 m? For how long will it be in the air?

Hmax = u² / 2g

g = 10 m/s²

Hmax = 25

u = √2gh

  = √2×10×25

  = √500

Hence , the initial velocity with which the stone should be thrown to reach a height of 25 m is 10√5 m/s
