• The Battle of Buxar  was fought in 1764 between the East India Company and the combined forces of Mir Qasim, the nawab of Bengal, Shuja ud Daulah , the Nawab of Awadh and the Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II.

• In this Battle the British East India Company  defeated the forces of Mir Qasim , Shuja ud Daulah and Shah Alam II.
• After the Battle the Treaty of Allahabad was signed in 1765 which transferred the power to the British from the Nawab.
