Concept

Division in maths is the process of breaking a number up into equal parts, and finding out how many equal parts can be made.

Given

Numbers 68 and 86

Find

The quotient of sum of given numbers when divided by 14 and 11

Solution

  • The sum of 68 and 86 is 154
  • When 154 is divided by 14 it's quotient will be 11
  • When 154 is divided by 11 it's quotient will be 14

Hence the quotient when the sum of 68 and 86 is divided by (i) 14(ii)11 will be 11 and 14 respectively
