Given :-

 \frac{7}{100}

To find :-

Without actual division find the decimal expansion and after how many decimal place the following rational number will terminate 7/100.

Concept used :-

To know that the number is terminating or non- termination.

The format is -

 {2}^{n}  \times  {5}^{m}

Solution :-

  1. Fond the Lcm of the denominator 100 = 2×2×5×5
  2. So here we get
  3.  {2}^{2}  \times  {5}^{2}
  4. Hence it is terminating.

The value of 7/100 is 0.07.
