Without actual division ,state which out of the following will be a terminating decimal:

(a) 1/12

(b) -5/10

(c) 18/30

(d) -13/27​

friend here you can just remember one rule that is, in the denominator if the prime factorization consists of numbers 2 and 5 only then it will have terminating decimal expansion.

Here you can see

a. 12- 2x2x3

b. 10- 2x5

c. 30- 2x3x5

d. 27- 3x3x3

here you can see that only 10 has 2 and 5 in expansion so it is the right answer.

It is not necessary that you should have both 2 and 5 in your expansion you can have any one of them also.
