Answer

Let n denotes the number of digits in a number.

1. if n is even, the number of digits in the square root of the number will be (n/2).

2. If n is odd, the number of digits in the square root of the number will be (n+1)/2

In case of 81, n = 2 (even),

hence number if digit in its square root will be

n/2 = 2/2 = 1
