Without calculation find no of digits in square root of 27225

Here's a trick to calculate the no. of terms in a square root of a perfect square.

If n (or the no. of digits in the given square no.) is odd then follow this formula ―

"n + 1/2"

So let's solve your your question.

Given no. = 27225

n or the no. of digits = 5
By putting value of n,

5 + 1/ 2
= 6/2
= 3

Therefore square root of the following number will have 3 digits..

[Check - √27225 = 165. Hence our answer is correct i.e its square root has 3 digits]
