hola mate!!!

see,.

252/8=31.5

now,

whenever the dividend and the divisor both have a negative sign, during division, those signs get cancelled and hence the answer is positive

eg: -252/-8=252/8=31.5

here, if multiplied , -8× 31.5= -252

secondly,

if both numbers are positive, then, in general, it is not indicated

eg: +252/+8= +31.5 and this is converted into

+252/+8= 252/8= 31.5

thus if both dividend and divisor has a negative or a positive sign, then the answer will not have any sign( it will be positive only, but plus sign won't be shown)

hope this help!!☺❤✌

Therefore the quotient of both numbers after performing division is the same.

Given:

The numbers = [ (-252)/(-18) ] and [ (252)/(18) ]

To Find:

The reason for the quotient of both numbers after performing division is to be the same.

Solution:

The given question can be solved as shown below.

Given that,

The 2 numbers = [ (-252)/(-18) ] and [ (252)/(18) ]

In both, the set of numbers given both numerator and denominator are the same. So the value of both the quotients is the same.

But the question arises in the sign of the values.

We know that,

⇒ For first number given [ (-252)/(-18) ] → (negative value)/(negative value) = positive value

⇒ For second number given [ (252)/(18) ] → (positive value)/(positive value) = positive value

Both the quotients are 'positive'.

So both the quotients are 'positive value'

Therefore the quotient of both numbers after performing division is the same.
