Answer:

good luck for future ⭐

Explanation:

Not all people are focused, structured and organised, luckily it is a skill that can be learnt with practice. I once worked with a Manager who said: ‘what is the point in planning when the plan is always changing’? But without a plan, how can you communicate to the team and yourself; the what, when, why, how and who of the challenge or business goal?

Using the analogy of piloting a plan; it is constantly adjusting to remain on the target course; unless you have a flight path or plan, you have no comparable measurements to know whether you are on or off-course or how far you are from your destination or goal.

When making a plan, do not look at how overwhelming the challenge may seem. Remember:

· you cannot eat an elephant whole you have to chunk it down into manageable pieces,

· focus on your goal/vision and why it is important to you,

· what part this particular challenge plays in your goal/vision.

Think of this challenge simply as a part of the journey to your ultimate goal or destination.

Remember that people don’t plan to fail, they just fail to plan.

Stephen R Covey in his book ‘The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People’, he elaborates on moving from dependence to independence in his first three habits:

§ Habit 1: Be Proactive: Take initiative in life by realizing that your decisions (and how they align with life’s principles) are the primary determining factor for effectiveness in your life. Take responsibility for your choices and the subsequent consequences that follow.

§ Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind: Self-discover and clarify your deeply important character values and life goals. Envision the ideal characteristics for each of your various roles and relationships in life.

§ Habit 3: Put First Things First: Plan, prioritize, and execute your week’s tasks based on importance rather than urgency. Evaluate whether your efforts exemplify your desired character values, propel you toward goals, and enrich the roles and relationships that were elaborated in Habit 2. (source: Wikipedia)

A goal setting plan creates a bridge between today’s dream and tomorrow’s reality, without a plan of the what, when, why, how and who, goals alone will not get you to your destination. Once you have your goals start your plan today!
