Pollination is the process of transfer of pollen grains from the anther to the stigma of a flower(which means it is the male gamete) .Fertilization is fusion of gametes , if pollination doesnot there will be no male gamete for fusion, therefore without pollination fertilization cannot take place

Answer:

If pollination does not occur then fertilization cannot take place because male gametes will not be available. For fertilization both male and female gametes must be present.
