Marco Polo was a Venetian merchant traveller. His travels are recorded in Livres des merveilles du monde, a book that described to Europeans the wealth and great size of China, its capital Peking, and other Asian cities and countries.

and he was died in 1324 AD.
He visited kakatiya kingdom during the rule of Rudrmamadevi.
He visited motupalli port and he praised Rudramadevi for her active and able administration.
