woman empowerment is necessary for improvement for society

Empowering women and ensuring better equal rights is probably among the most efficient things any country can do to develop society.
It's not an accident that if you look at the Gender Gap Index, and take note of the dozen countries on top, then these are more or less exactly the same countries that top the Human Development Index.
To put it bluntly, a society that does not encourage women to contribute to all sectors of life to the fullest extent of their abilities is like a person trying to run a marathon, but using only one leg.
Women make up half of society; and it should be self-evident that society will develope better and faster if everyone works together rather than if half the population is relegated to the kitchen.
This isn't to say that the work of a housewife is not valuable; of course it is, but there's no reason this work must be done by women specifically, and a full-time housewife is usually not really needed except for perhaps when the children (if any) are very small.
So how does it help concretely ? That's actually a near-endless list, but here's a few reasons why it helps:
It strengthens families. A family that has two incomes is a lot more robust, and better able to handle problems like sickness or unemployment. If only the man works and then he becomes unemployed, it's a disaster, but if both work and then one of them becomes unemployed, it's easier to handle since you still have at least half the income.
It ensures that the best-qualified people can do the jobs, rather than the best-qualified MAN. Thus the average skill of workers go up with better performance and better-quality work as the predictable result.
Political empowerment of women ensures that more voices are heard. The core idea of democracy is that society works best when everyone is heard, rather than a tiny elite dictating everything, making sure women are heard is a straightforward extension of this.
It increases the income of families, which tends to also increase the amount they spend on purchasing products and services; thus the overall level of economic activity goes up.
It gives women the power to leave dysfunctional or abusive relationships, in the absence of empowerment many women feel they have little choice but to remain married even if the marriage is a unhappy or abusive one.
It makes society safer and more peaceful. There's plenty of research that show that mixed groups of people with reasonable gender-representation tend to be more harmonical and have less conflict than groups dominated by one gender.
Most importantly though; it's just plain fair. There's not even a shred of reasonable argument in favour of arbitrarily restrict a persons rights and opportunities based on gender.

Well, let us think the question at different way.
Ex 1 : Suppose there is a family which has two sons and one son does very well and other son just can not unable to be himself. Do you think that family will be happy and progressing. I suppose they won’t.
Ex 2: Let me take other example, you got a scooter/car, it has best of the parts that can run for 10 years without any repair but the engine is not working well to give you that maximum efficiency. Would you be happy ? I suppose you wouldn’t be.
Now coming to the actual question : women empowerment for development of society; unless both genders have equal opportunities, rights and privileges , the society is not going to be developed. That means one is progressing and other is not which is also means that one is happy and other is not. For this reason, the women empowerment is essential.
Empowerment of women helps in the development of society in many ways, in true sense a society is considered to be developed only when both the genders contribute in accordance with their potentials.
A society develops morally when women as a mother and wife play their part to the precision.
A society develops materially when the able women entrepreneurs contribute in business and commerce sectors.
A society develops educationaly when the feminine gender shines both intellectually and academically.
A society develops culturally when womanhood ensures their effective role in and off the house.
A society develops spiritually when a mother a daughter a sister stick to values and principles.
A society develops politically when the women leaders take charge of the affairs.
A society develops ethicaly when children reflect the character of their mother. And when a husband enthusiastically performs due to inspiration from his better half.
