Women empowerment has been one of the most interesting ongoing topics today. Interestingly, more than 50% of the world’s population is Women. Therefore women empowerment plays a vital role in inducing their self-confidence to manage everything in their life. A recent study has revealed that the women empowerment results in the development of Indian Economy. Women empowerment empowers women in building confidence, taking decision and acting independently.

Challenges – Women Empowerment in India

It is not surprising that most of the men have the superiority complex over women, which let her down at any while. This happens in most of the developed and developing countries. In general, man is the source of income and women are a homemaker. She has to bind by many domestic responsibilities. The society has imposed many restrictions on women in some official matters. In some part of southern India, women have no rights to participate in social and religious events. She won’t be able to raise her words against men. India is a beautiful country, which is backed by eternal tradition and culture. For the majority of South Indians, they don’t let a girl take the decision of her choice, especially in marriage matters. There are a lot of parents out there, want their daughter to marry a guy who they arrange. They don’t even educated a girl and give her a choice of decision. However, there is a one-stop solution to this entire problem, which is the woman Empowerment.

Women empowerment begins at home. Parents should treat both the male and female child equally. It is the duty of every mother to teach their son to respect all the women. All the female children need to be educated. Also, the law and policy need to be very effective in order to promote women empowerment in India.
