In some women the fallopian tubes are blocked due to some reasons. These woman unable to bear babies because sperms cannot reach the egg. In Such cases doctors collect freshly released egg and sperm and keep them together for a few hours for IVF or in vitro fertilisation. In case fertilization occurs, The zygote is allowed to develop for about a week and then it is placed in the mother's womb. Complete development takes place in the womb and the baby is born unlike any other baby. Babies born through this technique are called test-tube babies.

No, a woman with blocked fallopian tube cannot give birth to a child because this prevents the ovum being fertilized as the sperms from the father cannot come in contact with ovum from the mother.
