it is because of menopause

Explanation:

a girl has fixed number of ovum or eggs in her ovary which comes out every month and if it doesn't get fertilized then it results in bleeding and we call it as mensuration cycle or MC .

so at the age of 50-55 all eggs were finished or the eggs present in overy become unfertilized due to lack of harmones and weakening of ovary I.e. female reproductive part

After the age of 50, menopause takes place. Due to menopause, no menstrual cycle takes place and hence no ovulation takes place. As ovulation doesn't take place, even if the sperm enters the female genital tract, no fertilisation takes place.

Hence women after 50 are unable to give birth to children.
