Women empowerment should begin at home

Women empowerment should begin at home. Gone are the days when women were kept as slaves and had no say in families and society. They were subservient to man’s will and decisions. Women have come a long way from the era of women slavery. They not only dominate and outsmart men in all areas of life, but also have excelled them.

Women empowerment is possible only, if we give them equal status at home. Parents and family members must treat girl child with as much love and care as they usually give to boy child. Women empowerment can be implemented in the following ways at home:

1. By not discriminating against girl children in any manner.

2. By making boy children do the kitchen work and other house hold chores. Girls should not be given the house hold chores. The house hold duties should be equally distributed between boys and girls at home.

3. By giving girls as much freedom as is given to boys in playing, watching TV, eating, going out, etc.

4. By fulfilling their demands and desires.
