✔️in urban areas women came from high caste families in rural areas, women came from rich peasants households. Women were inspired by Gandhiji 's call and they begin to see service to the nation as their sacred duty.
✔️but it did not mean any major changes in their position.for a long time Congress did not allow women to hold any higher position within the organisation it preferred only their symbolic reasons.
