she was born on 19th November 1828 in Varanasi.
She was named manikarnika by her father and mother Moropant Tambe and Bhagirathi sapre.
she was very bold and courageous and even playful so she was called as chabulli which means playful.
She was then married to Gangadhar Rao the king of jhansi during may 1857. then she was called as Lakshmi Bai the rani of jhansi.
She was one of the leading figures of Indian rebellion 1857.
The bombardment started 24th march 1858.She became symbol of resistance to British Raj during rebellion.
The army was held by Tantia tope.
Then in the rebellion she died for the country on 18th June 1858 at Gwalior

Women in freedom struggle means that women’s were not able to do what they wanted they were degraded that they are woman thus , woman started fighting or struggling for their freedom
