Women in western countries prefer tanned skin, whereas Indian women prefer fair skin. Why?



But i think that people should not be judged on the basis of their skin colur , hair colour , height , weight and things like that.......... Everyone is unique , every body is special ❤️​

Indians(or for that matter, entire South Asia) associate fair skin with affluence, and, add to that the psychologically hangover of racial superiority of our colonialists. Social and popular idols add to this kind of idiocy.

Western Women have the same issue. Being tanned helps them align to the more acceptable form that people idolise. But, a lot of them have genuine reasons too like formation of Vitamin D3 which happens under sunlight but, excessive tan leads to melanoma and other skin diseases too.
