Women need to be empowered because the society makes difference between the men and women. This results into the improgerssment of women and cause the decreasing class of society.

Hence for overall progressment of society women empowerment is necessary.

• Making women literate, have them established career so that they can be financially independent,
• while forgetting that men had all these earlier, still they did financial frauds, bribed and had all sorts of ill stuff done, they torchered, exploited, raped women/girls.
• If similar empowerment come to women, we should not lament if they do the same thing.  
• I think the symptoms are already out there. Google "why women divorce" Almost all pages say in 60+%, its women who initiate divorce.
• In office, I have a female colleague, who married an year ago. In gossip, she was so easy saying "ohh...now everything is over. I dont even take up his call. hahah..."
• After these two personal encounters  I am completely sure such materialistic women empowerment wont do any difference.
• When I think of marriage, I am unsure if I can find any empowered girl, who is equally wise, ready to take up sufferings with me, instead of simply ditching me for her career or whatever reasons.
• In that sense my granny is far more lovely and wise lady, even she is illiterate and never earned any money on her own.  
• If I have to define empowerement, it is wise-ness manifested with the capability to take up sufferings for others, instead of just knowing how to read books or earn money or fight for own rights/comforts.
• I very clearly see, men who themselves never had such empowerment cannot bring any kind of empowerment to anyone. What we needed was a program to impart wiseness in men - Men Empowerment, rather than materialistic women empowerment. I feel women were already wise decade ago. Taking up sufferings of dominant men made them wise. But now, they are reluctant to take sufferings, want to dominate equally like men. When there is no one to take up sufferings, I can see only disturbances can occur, no peace, no harmony.  
• Empowered man/woman = literate +  self earning + WISE  
• Unwise literate, self earning man/woman is lame. Both money and knowledge will be a waste in such unwise heads.
