Dimensions of the wood block = 10 inch × 6 inch × 2 inch

Mass of the wood block = 3lb

To find,

The density of the wood block in g/cm-³ unit.  

Solution,

The dimensions of the wood block

= 10 inch × 6 inch × 2 inch

= 25.4 cm × 15.24 cm × 5.08 cm

[Unit conversion : 1 inch = 2.54 centimetres]

The mass of the wood block

= 3lb

= 1360.77 grams

[ Unit conversion : 1 lb = 453.592 grams]

So,

The volume of wood block

= 25.4 cm × 15.24 cm × 5.08 cm

= 1966.44 cm³ (approx.)

Density

= Volume/Mass

= 1966.44/1360.77

= 1.44 g/cm-³  

Hence,the density of the wood block is 1.44 g/cm-³.
