Those resources that are available on this earth in a limited quantity and may become unavailable if used in a large quantity are termed as non - renewable resources.

We get wood from trees,..
Trees are on this earth in a limited quantity.
Thus, wood is a renewable resource.

Wood is a non renewable resourve as we get wood from plants and it take several time to grow up. we know that all tree germinate after a long process and if we cut these resources for paper, fuel, furniture and much more then new plants will take several years to grow up and not be able to replaced. then we can say it is a non renewable resources.
