wide at the rate of Rs.7 per hundred square m.

b) How many tiles whose length and breadth are 12cm and 5 cm
respectively are needed to cover a rectangular region whose length and
breadth are 420cm and 140cm?

c) A cuboid is 9cm long, 5cm broad and 4cm high and a cube has an edge
of 6cm. Which one has a greater volume?

   area = l x b

           = 200 x 150

          = 30,000

  cost of tiling = 30,000 x ₹ 7 m^{2}

                       = ₹2,10,000

b) area = l x b

    tiles = 12 x 5

           = 60

rectangular region = 420 x 140

                               = 58,800

now we will subtract both 58800 and 60 to find how much tiles needed,

 = 58740
