Given data :-

  • A rectangular pool has breadth x meter and the length is three times the breadth.
  • The depth of the pool is twice the breadth.

To find :-

  • The perimeter of the pool and the volume of the pool.

Solution :-

Here,

{According to given}

→ Breadth ( B ) = x meter

→ Length ( L ) = 3x meter

→ Depth ( D ) = 2x meter

Here, we use formula of perimeter of rectangle to find perimeter of pool.

→ Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

→ Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( 3x + x )

→ Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( 4x )

→ Perimeter of rectangle = 8x meter

Now, we use formula of volume of rectangle to find volume of pool.

→ volume of rectangle = L × B × D

→ volume of rectangle = x × 3x × 2x

→ volume of rectangle = 6x³ cubic meter.

Hence, the perimeter of the pool is 8x meter and the volume of the pool is 6x³ cubic meter.
