Cost of one kg of potato =

= 2 1/2 = ( 2 × 2 ) + 1

= 2 1/2 = 5/2

= 2 1/2 kg = 5/2 kg

Cost of 1 kg of potato =

= 30/1 ÷ 5/2

= 30/1 × 2/5

= 60/5

We know that both 60 and 5 are divisible by 5 . So ,

= 60 ÷ 5 / 5 ÷ 5

= 12/1

= 12 rupees

Therefore , cost of 1 kg of potato will be 12 rupees .
