1. (1 m = 100 cm)

Distance the worm climbed at first = 13 m = 1300 cm

Distance it slipped back = 3 m 35 cm = 335 cm

Distance the worm actually covered = 1300 cm - 335 cm = 965 cm = 9 m 65 cm

2. (1 L = 1000 mL)

Total amount of water in the bucket = 6 L 200 mL = 6200 mL

Amount of water Sumit used = 2500 mL

Amount of water left = 6200 mL - 2500 mL = 3700 mL = 3 L 700 mL

3. (1 kg = 1000 g)

Weight of Shalini's brother = 35 kg = 35000 g

Shalini's weight = 35000 g + 3500 g = 38500 g = 38 kg 500 g

4. (1 kg = 10 hg)

Weight of rice = 28.5 kg

Weight of pulses = 18.3 kg

Weight of wheat = 12.7 kg

Total weight = 28.5 kg + 18.3 kg + 12.7 kg = 59.5 kg = 595 hg
