Mother has 5 litres  700 milliliters water for cooking if one holds 3 litres 300 milliliters of water and the other holds 2 litres 400 milliliters.

Given : Two buckets of water

one holds 3 litres 300 milliliters

other holds 2 litres 400 milliliters.

To Find :   how much water mother has for cooking

Solution:

Water in one Bucket  = 3 litres 300 milliliters

Water in other Bucket =  2 litres 400 milliliters.

Water available for cooking = water in both buckets

= Water in one Bucket  + Water in other Bucket

= 3 litres 300 milliliters + 2 litres 400 milliliters.

= (3 + 2) litres  (300 + 400)  milliliters.

= 5 litres  700 milliliters

Mother has 5 litres  700 milliliters water for cooking
