Work done by the frictional force is always Negative..

\huge\boxed{\texttt{\fcolorbox{red}{aqua}{Explanation:-}}}

It is because the frictional force always acts in the opposite direction to the motion...

So angle between the displacement and the Force(Frictional force) become 180...

So

W=F.s.cos 180

W=-F.s

⇒Points To Be Noted

  • Work done is dot product of the force and displacement.
  • The value of cos 180 is -1
  • Frictional force always act in the opposite direction to the Motion...
