Answer:

We know that

work \:  = force \times \: {displacement}

Now

force = bilsin \alpha

Here Alpha is 0 hence Sin0=0 which means work done is 0...

Answer:

Work done on an electron moving in a solenoid along its axis is equal to zero.

Explanation:

  • Concept: Solenoid is a coil of wire which acts as an electromagnet when current passes through it.
  • Around the solenoid ,a magnetic field is produced.
  • The magnetic field within the solenoid is uniform and parallel to the axis of solenoid.

                               F_m= Magnetic force

                              B= Flux density

                              q=charge

                              v= velocity of charge

                              F_m=q(V\times B )\\F_m=BqvSin\theta

Since, angle between  v and  B is zero ,therefore F_m=0.

  • We know that work, W= F × d cosϕ

Since F=0 ⇒ W=0
