⇒    1/3+1/3      (as 1/3 is the simplified form of 3/9)

⇒    1+1/3

⇒    2/3

Therefore the answer is 2/3

To find: $\frac{1}{3}+\frac{3}{9}$

Solution: Here $\frac{1}{3} and  \frac{3}{9}$ both are rational numbers.

$\frac{3}{9}=\frac{3}{3\times3}=\frac{1}{3}$→[reducing to lowest terms]

→$\frac{1}{3}+\frac{1}{3}$

Both of the rational numbers are same.

L.C.M of (3,3)=3

→$\frac{\frac{3}{3}+\frac{3}{3}}{3}=\frac{1+1}{3}=\frac{2}{3}$
