 \dfrac{1}{3}  +  \dfrac{3}{9}

1 and 3 are Numerators .

3 and 9 are Denominators.

While solving such type of math questions first we should make both the Denominators same through LCM.

lcm \: of \: 3 \: and \: 9  = 9

 \dfrac{1}{3}  \times  \dfrac{3}{3}  =  \dfrac{3}{9}

 \dfrac{3}{9}  \times  \dfrac{1}{1}  =  \dfrac{3}{9}

 \dfrac{3}{9}  +  \dfrac{3}{9}  =  \dfrac{6}{9}

simplifying \:  \:  \dfrac{6}{9}  \:  \:  \: by \:  \: 3

3 x 2 = 6

3 x 3 = 9 .

 \dfrac{6}{9}  \div  \dfrac{3}{3}  =  \dfrac{2}{3}

Hence : Required Answer is 2/3.
