$\dfrac{1}{3} + \dfrac{3}{9}$


1 and 3 are Numerators .


3 and 9 are Denominators.


While solving such type of math questions first we should make both the Denominators same through LCM.




$lcm \: of \: 3 \: and \: 9 = 9$


$\dfrac{1}{3} \times \dfrac{3}{3} = \dfrac{3}{9}$


$\dfrac{3}{9} \times \dfrac{1}{1} = \dfrac{3}{9}$


$\dfrac{3}{9} + \dfrac{3}{9} = \dfrac{6}{9}$

$simplifying \: \: \dfrac{6}{9} \: \: \: by \: \: 3$


3 x 2 = 6
