 \huge{\boxed{\boxed{\red{process}}}}

Aim: To separate all the constituent from the mixture.

(A) To separate NH4CL from the mixtue

  • Take the mixture in a China dish and covered with it with the inverted funnel.

  • Plug cotton at the end of the funnel

  • Heat the mixture.

  • The NH4CL will goes under sublimation i.e NH4CL will get condensed at the cooled side of the funnel.

  • Scrap out the NH4CL from the funnel.

(B) Steps to separate sand from the mixture

  • Add water to the left non sublimated mixture.

  • Stir the mixture well.

  • Filter the solution with the help of filter paper.

  • Now we had obtained sand as a residue and the salt solution as a filtrate.

(C) Steps to separate common salt

  • Take the salt solution in a China dish.

  • Evaporate the solution to dryness so that the water get evaporated and the salt left behind in the China dish.

Result

Sand, common salt and ammonium chloride mixture is separated by sublimation, filteration and evaporation.
