Answer :

m = - ⅔ , c = - ⅓

Note :

• The slope y-intercept form of a straight line is given as : y = mx + c , where m is the slope and c is the y-intercept of the straight line .

Solution :

Here ,

The given equation of straight line is ;

3y + 2x = -1 -----(1)

Now ,

eq-(1) can be rewritten as ;

=> 3y = -2x - 1

=> y = -(⅔)x - ⅓ ------(2)

Now ,

Comparing the eq-(2) with the slope y-intercept form y = mx + c , we have ;

m = - ⅔ (slope)

c = - ⅓ (y-intercept)

Hence ,

m = - ⅔ , c = - ⅓
