Answer :-

Given:

  • Height of cuboid = 1.2 cm

  • Shape of end face of cuboid = Square

  • Volume of cuboid = 5760 mm³

To find:

  • Surface Area of the cube.

Required Formulae:

  • Volume of cuboid = l×b×h

  • Surface Area of cuboid = 2(lb+bh+hl)

  • Here, l = length, b = breadth, h = height

How to find ?

  • The end face of the cuboid is a square, so the breadth of the cuboid will be equal to its height, i.e. 1.2 cm

  • Through the volume, we can know the length of cuboid by substituting the values.

  • Then, we can take out the surface area of the cuboid.

Solution:

(We know that 1 cm³ = 1000 mm³. Therefore, the volume will be \frac{5760}{1000}=5.76 cm³)

Volume\:of\:cuboid\:=l\times{b}\times{h}\\5.76=l\times{1.2}\times{1.2}\\l=\frac{5.76}{1.2\times{1.2}}\\l=4\:cm

Now, Surface Area of Cuboid -

= 2(lb+bh+hl)

= 2×(4×1.2 + 1.2×1.2 + 1.2×4)

= 2×(4.8 + 1.44 + 4.8)

= 2× 11.04

= 22.08 cm²

Hence, the surface area of cuboid is 22.08 cm².
