Given that : Perimeter if rectangle = 72mm

and breadth = 26 mm

As we know that :

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

According to the question :

2(l+b) = 72

=> 2(l+26) = 72

=> l+26 = 36

=> l = 10 mm

Now, Area of rectangle = b

=> Area of rectangle = 10×26 = 260 mm²

\huge{\sf{Answer:}}

Given:

Base of the rectangle = Breadth = 26mm

Perimeter of the Rectangle =72mm

\large{\sf{\orange{Formula}}}

\implies Area = L x B

\implies Perimeter = 2(L+B)

Solution:

Perimeter=2(L+26)

\implies72=2L + 52

\implies 2L = 20

\implies\large{\boxed{ L = 10}}

Now,

Area of Rectangle

Length x Breadth = 10 x 26

\implies \large{\boxed{\boxed{260mm^2}}}
