Answer:

a=√89 b=√45

Step-by-step explanation:

in ∆1

p= 8cm

b= 5cm

h=a

according to Pythagoras theorem

(h)^2=(p)^2+(b)^2

(a)^2=64+25

a=√89

in ∆2

p=b

b=12

h=17

similarly as questions 1

(h)^2=(p)^2+(b)^2

17^2={b}^2+12^2

189-144=(b)^2

b=√45

Answer:

A = 9.4 as you do 8^2 + 5^2 which is 89 and the squared root is 9.4 hence 9.4 is the answer to A, the way how to work this out is you square,square,add then square root it. ( B = 12.0)
