As its a parallelogram and we know,

opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal.

Therefore, 4x - 10 = 2×(x + 4)

=> 4x - 10 = 2x + 8

=> 4x - 2x = 8 + 10

=> 2x = 18

=> x = 9
