(i) Low Salary Nine-tenth of unorganised sector labourers received wages below the national minimum wage during 2004-05.
(ii) Long Working Hours In most construction sites, labourers have to work for a time spread over 10-11 hours in a day.
(iii) Temporary Jobs On an average, a farm labourer finds employment for less than 200 days in a year.
(iv) No Facilities and Benefits Many construction , companies do not provide helmets to their workers or food to their labourers.
