Working alone, Raghu takes 16 more days than the time taken by him and Somdatta together to complete a job. Somdatta, working alone, takes 36 more days than the time taken by him and Raghu together to complete the job. Find the time taken by Somdatta alone to complete the job.​

LET THE TAKEN BY RAGHU AND SOMDATTA BE x

WORK DONE BY BOTH IN 1 DAY =1÷ x

THEN ,TIME TAKEN BY RAGHU =x+16

TIME TAKEN BY SOMDATTA=x+36

THEREFORE,WORK DONE BY RAGHU IN 1 DAY= 1÷(x+16)

ANS WORK DONE BY SOMDATTA IN 1 DAY = 1÷(x36)

THEREFORE, TIME TAKEN BY BOTH 1÷(x+16) + 1÷(x+36)=1÷x

(x+36 + x+16)÷(x^2 + 52x + 576)= 1÷x

2x^2 + 52= x^2 + 52x + 576

x^2 = 576

x = 24

THEREFORE TIME TAKEN BY SOMDATTA= x+36=24+36=60days
