you can borrow some small cars, and make a line out of them on a painted road. while using a rod like thing for traffic signal pole.
Then you can install 3 lights of red, orange and green with their switches and correct pattern.
give your model some decoration, arrange the cars and use the switches to show a traffic signal......you'll get good marks...
