Answer:

Neil and Andy=10 days. 1/10

Neil alone= 12 days 1/12

Andy alone= ?

1/A+1/B= 1/A+B

1/12+1/B=1/10

1/B= 1/10-1/12

1/B = 1/60

B= 60

hence Andy complete the same task alone in 60 days

Given,

The number of days in which Neil and Andy completed the work\[ = 10\]

The number of days in which Neil completed the work\[ = 12\]

Solution,

Assume that Andy completed the work in x days.

Therefore,

\[\begin{array}{l} \Rightarrow \frac{1}{x} + \frac{1}{{12}} = \frac{1}{{10}}\\ \Rightarrow \frac{1}{x} = \frac{1}{{10}} - \frac{1}{{12}}\\ \Rightarrow \frac{1}{x} = \frac{{12}}{{120}} - \frac{{10}}{{120}}\\ \Rightarrow \frac{1}{x} = \frac{2}{{120}}\end{array}\]

Solve further,

\[\begin{array}{l} \Rightarrow \frac{1}{x} = \frac{1}{{60}}\\ \Rightarrow x = 60\end{array}\]

Hence, Andy can complete the work in\[60\] days.
