Draw a line of 8 cm. Name it x and y. Now take the measurement of more than half on your compass approximately.. Don't take accurate measurement. It is not necessary. Now keep the compass on the point x. Draw an arc up and down. Now keep the compass on point y. And make an arc up and down. (intersecting the first arc). If the arc intersects and you get a straight line then your ans is perfect. And don't forget to draw that 90 degree symbol. Or else your ans will be marked wrong.
