When you divide 1000 by 35
1000 /35
the quotient= 28, the remainder obtained = 20
The remainder we obtained is 20.
So if we subtract 20 from 1000
i.e. 1000–20=980.
980 / 35 =28
which is clearly divisible by 35.

on dividing 2000 by 45 , we get "quotient =4"
and "remainder = 20"
so
45-20=25
25 should be added to 2000
so it is completely divided by 45.
