Dear Diary,
One day my father got a letter from HRD ministry inviting us to watch the republic Day parade at India Gate. Nothing seemed more important than accepting the invitation and sending the conformation.
We took a Taxi and asked to take us to the India Gate. I was feeling very proud and excited to watch it out. We got the perfect view of the parade as it was almost in front of us. I was feeling proud about our nation's rich culture and heritage. I have made a neat list which I found most memorable about those three hours there :-
1. The way in which the entire motorcade moves on the Raj Path was so elegant. The co-ordination was perfect and the timing was accurate.
2. The national anthem was being played, it was very neat. I had seen many times the republic Day parade on television but it was the best experience.
3. The orange, white and green coloured balloon as they rose from all around us and slowly made their way up, in a way, taking India to the skies.
Anyhow, the parade lasted for 2 hours which was amazing!! I felt very good to see it in front of me.
