Step-by-step explanation:

let the ages of them is x

ten years later, 7x+10/5x+10 is equal to 9:7

10 into 7x+10 equal to 10 into 5x+10

70x +10 equals to 50x+10

70x-50x equals to 10-10

20x equals to 0

x equal to 0/20.

Answer:

Let the present ages of A and B be 7x and 5x,

Ten years later  age of A will be (7x+10)

Ten years later  age of B will be (5x+10)

According to question,

   > (7x + 10) / (5x + 10) = 9 / 7

   >7 (7x + 10) = 9 (5x + 10)

  >49x + 70 = 45x + 90

   >49x - 45x = 90 - 70

  > 4x = 20

    >x = 5

PRESENT AGE OF A = 7*(5)=35 YEARS

PRESENT AGE OF B = 5*(5)=25 YEARS
