Would it ever be ethical to change or remove someone elseâs memories?

It would be very much ethical if those memories were the ones which the person wanted to forget because they were too painful too bear. This is because holding onto past will only lead you to loss. Still removing memories does not by any means gives you the right to do it without the consent of the victim and it also does not mean that they can be created again.

Thus to be on safer side, provide support to overcome pain instead of removing any memories.

Also it would never be appreciated to attempt to or remove cherished memories.
