If we use eraser the bulb wont glow as eraser is an insulator. It does not conduct electricity. So the current wont flow and the bulb will not glow.

b) An electrician should use rubber gloves while repairing an electric switch at home because rubber is an  insulator that does not conduct electricity and thus it will help in avoiding current shock.
