No, the bulb will even not glow if we connect the wire as eraser is an insulator it will not not let electricity pass though it. So the bulb will not glow..  Hope it helps :)

Hey there !

Solution :

The answer is no.

Electricity can only flow in special materials called conductors which allow current to flow through them. Materials which don't allow current to flow through them are called insulators.

Mostly in general conductors are usually metallic as they have free electrons which allow current to flow through them. Hence safety Pin is used for allowing current as it is made up of metal.

But rubber is not made up of metal and thus doesn't have free electrons in them. Hence it obstructs the flow of charges through it. Hence it doesn't allow current to flow through it.

Hence if the safety pin is replaced by an insulator like rubber, the current would not pass and thus the bulb will not glow.

Hope my answer helped !
