▶No, if the value of G is doubled then there wont be any effect on g. As, 'G' is the universal gravitational constant it remains same all over the world but g is the acceleration due to gravity on earth.

G is universal gravitational constant

M and R are mass and radius of Earth

Since, G is universal constant. It remains same everywhere.

But if it is taken hypothetically that G is doubled, then it is clear form equation (1) that the value of g gets also doubled.
